Job Summary
CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Special Technician/Electronic to join our Team , located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
You will have the ability to: To install, repair, maintain, and adjust instruments measuring commercial and industrial customer gas usage, recorders measuring gas pressure and temperature, devices determining chemical composition, and devices providing distribution system pressure and flow data.
Essential Functions
Installs, repairs, maintains, and adjusts measuring instruments and devices to insure accuracy of variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, volume, and chemical composition.
Inspects, tests, and troubleshoots equipment using appropriate testing equipment to replace or repair defective parts, component assemblies or units
Performs scheduled maintenance inspections as assigned and makes minor calibration adjustments to insure equipment functions within specified standards.
Completes appropriate paperwork and orders on Mobile Data to ensure accurate billing, maintenance, and meter records.
Orders equipment and replacement parts in a timely manner to maintain inventory and eliminate system downtime.
Performs other related tasks as apparent or assigned to contribute to the completion of department responsibilities.
Education Description
- Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent knowledge of English, mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages), punctuation, grammar and spelling.
Experience
6 months experience in laying out, installing, altering, and repairing low voltage circuits.
Must have a Current Power Limited License (low voltage)
