Summary

Provide technical and analytical support for the company’s damage prevention program. Activities include data collection, financial analysis and reporting, in collaboration with other departments, including Field Operations, Pipeline Safety Compliance, Right of Way, Legal, and Claims.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Damage Prevention analytics and reporting metrics for internal and external posting and financial related reporting.

• Analyze metrics from data captured from company business systems and third-party software to deploy and develop best practices analytics

• Develop and provide reports to identify trends that assist in creating best practices and provide alternatives to current practices

• Act as a liaison for the Damage Prevention team and business units to ensure that accurate and relevant data is presented

• Use data from multiple sources to develop and optimize strategics, processes, efficiency, quality, and reduce Operating & Maintenance costs

• Review and improve the analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy

• Maintain data in company system of record related to excavation damages

• Support damage billing process with Claims and perform any required follow-up actions

• Participate in meetings with excavators, utility personnel, public officials, members of the public, and other interested parties to resolve damage related matters affecting the Company

• Create professional reports and presentations that provide quality information throughout the organization

• Review and maintain PO’s for payment to locate vendors and other service providers

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet individual goals and deadlines

• Ability to recognize patterns and trends in large data sets and use numerical information to develop business strategies

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, related technical area, or equivalent experience preferred

• At least five years of relevant experience required

• Advanced capabilities using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Strong working knowledge of company business systems including Maximo and Oracle

Physical demands, environment and schedule

• Normal work environment - work is normally performed in a shared office environment, occasional work site visits under direction of Manager

• Typically, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to work remotely under direction of Manager. Additional hours may be required depending on the number of active projects and deadlines

• Minimal travel may be required
